Complex Interactions

The unifying research element of all participating groups of the Konstanz Research School Chemical Biology is the desire to elucidate and understand complex biological processes at the molecular, and whenever possible, even atomic level. The implementation of such an ambitious task requires both the expertise in a broad range of state-of-the-art methodologies and techniques and the availability of biologically relevant model systems.

These requirements are met by the participating research groups. The results obtained are expected to open up new avenues for the development of techniques and tools at the interface of chemistry and biology and, eventually, provide novel targets and concepts for the treatment of human disease.
